Free Acne TreatmentAcne can be caused by many things. One of main problems is the hormones our body produces. Certain hormones can cause more acne problems than we realize. We need to understand that the hormones the body throws off can be a direct result of what we eat. It is a simple formula something like this one:

Sugar = insulin = hormones = oils = bacteria = acne

Understanding what causes acne can help determine where the culprit lies. The first thing is hormone changes. Our body secretes oil, called sebum, which allows the hair follicles to be lubricated. Going through puberty increases our hormones which will increase the sebum in the body. Stress can also cause our hormones to go into an uproar, which will increase the sebum, as well. With a build up of this oil, the bacteria which cause the acne has a food source. Feeding on the sebum, the bacteria begins to multiply. The skin starts to erupt with an acne outbreak.

The hormones which help produce sebum can become over stimulated when our diet is rich in sugar and refined carbohydrates. The more natural our diet is, the more balanced our bodies become. Avoiding foods like soda with sugar or starches like white bread and pasta can significantly decrease the amount of acne breakouts you will have. Candy bars and other foods that have sugar listed as the first ingredient should definitely be avoided. This means foods like cookies, candy, and chocolates should be taken off the diet. Foods containing dairy products can also add to the acne problems we all suffer. Ice cream is not only full of sugar, but the hormones in the cream create problems as well. Many of the snack foods we think are not so bad may be the reason we have the acne outbreaks.

To keep the acne problems to a minimum, you should avoid foods high in sugar or salt. Stay away from greasy foods and saturated fats. Things like chips and fries are off the list for those of us suffering from acne conditions.

Healthy natural foods keep the insulin levels more stable. This can decrease our body’s production of the hormones which produce sebum. Fresh fruits and vegetables are not only healthier for our weight they can be more healthy for our skin, as well. The best diet formula for acne is one which contains lean meats and fish. Adding things like whole grains instead of processed starches keeps our insulin levels more normal. This means there is less chance of an acne outbreak.

Drinking plenty of water can keep our bodies cleansed from the toxins causing the acne problems, too. The recommended eight glasses a day can really have a positive affect on our skin. Maintaining a diet low in sugar and refined carbohydrates will not show significant results overnight, but will help within a week or so. Sticking to a healthier diet will result in fewer acne breakouts. Not only will your health improve, but so will your confidence level as your face starts getting that smooth texture and healthy glow.
